At E-Starr we have been providing quality hosting and domain services to individuals and small businesses for 5 years. When we opened in April 2002 our goal was to offer a quality hosting service for an affordable price. Years later we still strive for this simple and noble goal, now offering packages with double the resources for the same low price.
E-Starr is a sole propietorship registered in Buncombe County, North Carolina. The owner is a fellow webmaster and small business owner who knows how hard it is to find a reliable hosting service. Our servers are in the AtlantaNap datacenter, which is located in Atlanta, Georgia. We have trusted them as our datacenter since the very beginning in 2002, originally named DV2 and now known as GNAX.
Our clients and servers are all very important to us. To insure we offer the best service we use only high quality servers. All of our servers have Dual Xeon 3.0Ghz CPUs and a minimum of 2GB RAM. Each server uses SCSI harddrives to quickly process commonly access data. All servers run the Linux platform and have onboard nightly backups. Sitting on one of AGL's main fiber backbones, the AtlantaNap operates a metro Ethernet ring based on Extreme Networks 10 Gig technology. It has Sonet-like EAPS implementation for sub 50 ms re-route times, utilizing Ethernet for efficient and affordable equipment connectivity. Each server is connected to a 100mbps port for maximum speed.
